3d Miniatures
The first of many sculpts for Privateer Press.
Critics complained that the tail looks too thin to support the weight of the body. However, The good purveyors of "Warmachine" lore clearly directed me that the Iron Lich Overseer bodies will levitate and spin slowly while they are overseeing, so the tail stalk doesn't actually support the weight. Necrotech is some pimpass shit.

I guess I'll have to rig and animate to demonstrate.
- It's increasingly apparent that maya polygon tools are not good at creating symmetry at 120 degree angles on a round surface- keeps it interesting. The spine stalk was created using a motion trail, and an "animated snap shot". A very handy for not having to hand place all the parts, while keeping a consistent taper on a curved path.

Should have done a much better job of keeping backups and textures of individual assets over the past 2 years...a reel just doesn't seem as legit without turntables; but I'm having some serious issues with the render farm.
Once again, only watch the environments, armor and props...ignore all the characters that arn't heavily armored.

So I decided to give this sketchup Software a try. This robot isn't anything special, but in under 6 hours while I learned the software? probably not possible in maya - for me.
Do it. Sketchup

"Nemesis" is a model that was never used from Dark Sector. 'Kinda disappointed he lost a lot of the detail I was hoping for, such as all the serrations I painstakingly modeled into the blade. But overall not bad for 30cm and 28$, I reordered the higher quality material that would be better for painting.
